Industrial Data Analyst & Scientist (m/f/d)


YOU ACT

You will be responsible for the analysis and identification of opportunities and challenges within our Audit/Consulting- and Operational Business, your tasks will include:

  • Contribute and execute strategic performance based customer audits - also on-site worldwide
  • Development of the data analytic standard of customer audits for new and ongoing operations
  • A strong focus on value stream, (plant) performance, processes, planning, logistic & quality
  • Development of SMART KPI tracking and monitoring dashboards, balanced scorecards, visualizations and reports
  • Perform data based As-Is status reports and gap analytics as well as data based solutions
  • Provide expert knowledge for data integration and correct analytical and statistical methods
  • Drive company’s mindset towards continuous improvement, data based decision making and intelligent operated excellence

YOU KNOW

You have a degree in data science, industrial engineering and come along with these additional important skills and qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in the industrial environment in the steel industry
  • Experience in the data science cycle:
  •  data-mining, cleaning, exploration, evaluation, modeling, visualization, interpretation in an industrial environment
  • Proven experience in tracking, reporting and visualization of daily production, processes and related peripheral data
  • Mindset and passion for continuous improvement and data based decision making
  • Strong ability in business/production/process and maintenance data analytics (analytical statistics) and visualizations (descriptive statistics)
  • Comprehension for:
    • OEE and value stream mapping and calculations
    • Univariate and bivariate data analytics
    • dash boarding (e.g. Power BI)
    • benchmarking
    • modelling, prediction and simulations
    • SQL, R, Python
    • statistical software (e.g. JMP, Minitab)
    • Reliability & lifetime analytics
  • Very good communication skills
  • Fluent command of spoken and written English and knowledge of another foreign language would be an advantage
  • Proven ability to work in a team, motivate others, and take responsibility
  • Willingness to undertake worldwide travel

Certifications in: Lean, Six Sigma, Project Management and Reliability is definitely a Plus.
