Development engineer (f/m/x)

You are responsible for the design and sizing of flat product facilities, particularly in the field of mechanical engineering and structural mechanics; this includes:

• Design, layout, and optimization of machine parts and plant technology with consideration of strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conducting static and dynamic sizing of structures and components for flat products in the field of rolling mill technology and strip processing lines.
• Development of calculation models and methods for the design of components and systems.
• Methodical support of the departments
• Responsible for execution of development projects
• Interdisciplinary support during commissioning and sales projects

You have a completed degree in engineering, specializing in mechanical engineering, or a comparable field of study; we consider the following to be important:

• Sound knowledge of machine elements and design.
• Very good knowledge in the use of simulation tools (FEM methods).
• Very good knowledge in the field of fatigue strength and the corresponding design guidelines (FKM guideline, Eurocode).
• Good knowledge in the use of CAD programs (ideally Creo Parametric).
• Open-mindedness, ability to work in a team, and resilience
• Entrepreneurial thinking and action
• Willingness to travel
• Business-fluent German and very good English language skills.
