Key Responsibilities:
As a Claim Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our projects by ensuring smooth and effective management of claims and contractual matters. You will:
- Lead Claim Management: Take ownership of implementing and overseeing active claims and change control systems, working hand-in-hand with the Project Management Team to ensure processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Assess Risks and Safeguard Interests: Identify and evaluate contract deviations and potential risks, offering thoughtful advice on strategies and responses to protect the project’s interests.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Keep claims-related documentation well-organized and up to date, using tools like SMS Desktop to ensure evidence is recorded accurately and comprehensively.
- Develop Risk Mitigation Strategies: Proactively create strategies to minimize risks and prevent claims, demonstrating a forward-thinking and solution-oriented approach.
- Provide Expert Guidance: Act as a trusted advisor to the Project Management Team, offering insights on contractual entitlements, preparing and defending claims, and ensuring the project remains on solid contractual footing.
- Negotiate Settlements: Collaborate with the PM Team to negotiate fair and effective claim settlements, ensuring positive outcomes for all parties involved.
- Inspire and Motivate the Team: Foster a culture of accountability and attention to detail by encouraging team members to identify and document non-conformities, ensuring contractual standards are upheld at every stage.

YOU KNOW
We’re looking for a dynamic, adaptable, and skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment. The ideal candidate will:
- Be an exceptional communicator, capable of articulating ideas clearly, persuading others effectively, and navigating sensitive situations with diplomacy and tact.
- Possess a strong educational background, with a diploma in Industrial or Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, or a related field.
- Have at least five years of hands-on experience in contract or claims management, or a similar role, ideally in industries such as construction, plant engineering, or machine building.
- Be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with familiarity in project management tools like MS Project or Primavera P6 as a plus.
- Be business fluent in English, with knowledge of German or Swedish considered an advantage for collaborating in an international setting.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of international contracts and contract management principles.
- Be flexible and committed, with a willingness to travel for meetings beyond the jobsite.
