Piping Engineer


YOU ACT

  • Piping Engineer Preferably having work experience related to heavy engineering design (Piping).
  • Preparation & self-checking of Basic and detail drawings for equipment as guided by the reporting Supervisor/Engineer.
  • Develop sub assembly & assembly drawing based on basic engineering drawings and related data or as per the inputs from supervisor.
  • Preparation of Bill of Material (BOM).
  • Check and modify the drawings for manufacturing parameters as required.
  • Preparation and self-checking of Onboard equipment piping.
  • Secure approval from checker and submit the drawings to the supervisor/Engineer.
  • CAD & 3D piping modelling.
  • Preparing B.O.Q for Pipes & Pipe fittings.
  • Preparing piping G.A. drawings.
  • Good knowledge on piping support & material selection.
  • Preparation of basic & layout drawings
  • Reviewing vendor drawings
  • Good hands on reading hydraulic schematics.
  • Support to other CoE’s for detail engineering activities
  • Review of detail engineering drawings before release.

YOU KNOW

  • BE/B. Tech - Mechanical Stream with 1-8 years of experience.
  • Should have good communication skills.
  • Should have prominent skills in AUTOCAD & Creo software.
  • Hands on experience on systems like SAP / Windchill / PDMink.
  • Should have basic knowledge in MS-office.
  • Should be well versed with ISO/DIN/IS/ASTM/ASME standards.
  • Proficiency in key elements of drawings like welding symbols, machining symbols, fits, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances.
