Manger Estimation – Sintering & Pelletizing
Elaborate tender estimate for Agglomeration equipment and solution proposals
YOU ACT
To support offering and selling of Agglomeration equipment and plant solution (primarily sinter plant, pellet plant and alumina calcination technologies) by means of building accurate cost estimates in a timely manner.
Compile the tender estimation based on
- Proprietary equipment and third party equipment costs obtained from Sourcing department, and/or internal databases.
- Engineering, Project Management manhours obtained from respective disciplines.
- Commercial costs obtained from commercial department
Collaborate with Sourcing and Technical team for evaluating supplier offers, give input/ participate in negotiation with suppliers for competitive bidding
Provide input for Risk Assessment
Prepare project estimation on WBS-based tool during tender phase as per company guideline, which will be the basis for project budget in SAP in case of successful bid
YOU KNOW
Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Metallurgy
Technical understanding of SMS group agglomeration technologies
Strong skills in Costing
Good analytical skill, ability to resolve discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
Knowledge of procurement / sourcing, Project Engineering / Management
Additional requirements:
Capability of estimating large / EPC/ complex proposals
Minimum 5 years experience in iron ore steel plant business, out of which minimum 3 years experience related to estimation
Understanding the concept of “Solution”, the cause and effect of various design/process changes
Ability to perform plausibility check of the estimation inputs
