(Senior) Project Engineer, EIA (m/f/x)
YOU ACT
As a (Senior) Project Engineer, EIA, you will play a key role in leading delivery and development projects with a strong focus on instrumentation, automation, and digitalization. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams as well as R&D to drive innovation and integrate digital solutions into our delivery projects.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Leading delivery and development projects in the areas of instrumentation, automation, and digitalization
- Collaborating with multi‑disciplinary project teams and R&D
- Integrating digital solutions into delivery projects
- Developing digital solutions for smart equipment and plant sections
- Analyzing and improving instrumentation and measurement concepts for future digital process equipment
- Developing instrumentation concepts and generating instrument indices
- Engineering power distribution networks (single line) from medium‑voltage to low‑voltage systems
- Working with typical process engineering documents such as P&IDs, flow sheets, and plant layouts
- Planning automation and safety concepts, including implementation with DCS/SIS manufacturers
- Guiding, defining, and supervising EIA tasks performed by external partners
- Managing EIA equipment within project scope
- Participating in engineering reviews, including P&ID Reviews, Design Reviews, HAZOP, and SIL Allocation
- Supporting the proposal management team in the preparation of bids
YOU KNOW
You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Automation (Master’s preferred) and bring extensive experience in instrumentation, automation, and digital solutions within international plant engineering and construction projects. You combine deep technical expertise with an open mindset for digitalization and a structured, reliable, and self‑driven working attitude.
Additionally, you bring:
- At least 7 years of experience as an engineer in instrumentation, automation, or digital solution development
- Profound knowledge in instrumentation, ideally in thermal processes
- Experience in delivering and developing digital solutions
- Understanding of data management platforms or cloud‑based systems
- Very good computer skills; programming knowledge (Matlab, C, Python) is an advantage
- Proven experience working in international, cross‑functional teams, including on-site experience
- Knowledge of relevant international standards and regulations
- Fluent written and spoken English and German; additional languages are an asset
- Willingness to travel internationally
