For our Product Management & Business Development department (MEM) we are looking to recruit a

Head of Product Management & Business Development (f/m/x)

Your tasks

You will be part of the Center of Excellence (CoE) Metallurgy and acting as local Head responsible for the process and governance of the product management and business development activities of CoE Metallurgy, which include strategy development, business intelligence, and innovation management. Your main task will be - in close cooperation with the Global Head of Product Management and Business Development - to support the senior management of CoE Metallurgy in developing solutions with the right product-market fit by providing relevant business & market information (in close contact with the Regions) and decision support tools. You will monitor the CoE’s product portfolio and manage its R&D and innovation activities in close collaboration with the product managers and the affiliated disciplines/departments/CoEs.

Another important task will be to centralize the calculation for the CoE.

You will collaborate closely with the Center of Competences (CoC) of CoE Metallurgy and other relevant stakeholders (Technical Servicing, Digital, Corporate Development, Research & Development, Innovation Hub) in order to exchange knowledge, seek synergies and align targets. On a disciplinary level you will report to both Heads of CoE Metallurgy.

This position will be located in Mönchengladbach and is planned to be in place for a period of 2 years.

Your profile

Master Degree in Business or Engineering
Sound knowledge of the overall product portfolio of the Centre of Excellence Metallurgy
Excellent communication and people relationship skills
Good leadership skills combined with a strategic mindset
Highly proactive and pragmatic to ensure efficient analytic decision making
Fluency in English and German
Flexibility and willingness to travel and to work with multinational teams
