We are looking to fill a position in Hilchenbach for a

Head of Operations (f/m/x)


Your tasks

As head of operations for our plant in Hilchenbach, you are responsible for managing production and material flows while considering safety regulations and occupational safety. This includes:

  • Production Management: Ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the recycling processes, overseeing production schedules, and optimizing output while maintaining quality standards
  • Resource Allocation: Managing resources such as manpower, machinery, and materials to meet production goals effectively and within budget constraints
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines in all operational activities
  • Process Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement within the recycling processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output
  • Team Leadership: Providing leadership and guidance to the operational team, introducing an overarching management system, fostering a cohesive work environment, and facilitating employee development and training
  • Strategic Development: Contributing to the development and execution of long-term strategies for the plant's growth, expansion, or improvement
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generating reports, analyzing operational data, and providing insights to support informed decision-making for the plant's continuous improvement.

Your profile

You have completed a degree in engineering or have completed a master craftsman training with professional experience in the field of production; important to us are:

  • Proficiency in overseeing production processes, resource allocation, scheduling, and optimizing efficiency.
  • Hands-on problem-solving capabilities addressing operational issues promptly, troubleshooting challenges, and implementing effective solutions to maintain uninterrupted operations
  • Knowledge of methodologies and standards to lead and improve plant performance (e.g. lean, Kaizen FMEA, 5S, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
  • Understanding of technical aspects related to recycling processes, machinery, and production systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards, environmental guidelines, and safety protocols within the industry.
  • Ability to mentor, train, and develop teams, fostering professional growth and maintaining a high-performance culture.
  • Fluent written and spoken German language skills

Salary level

Depending on qualifications and professional experience.
