Contract Manager (CTM)

Your tasks

As a Senior Contract Manager, you form the Project Management team in our important large-scale projects in the three-digit million range - together with the Project Manager. You manage the project from a commercial perspective and in this role you are the main contact and representative of the project internally and towards external partners on commercial and contractual issues.

This essentially includes:

  • Monitoring the project from a contractual and commercial perspective, in cooperation with all involved international SMS companies;
  • Implementation of end-to-end contract management, financial management, project cost controlling, risk and claims management, completion dates and renewal dates of contracts, warranties, insurances, bonds etc;
  • Management and coordination of contractually compliant communication with the customer and all contractual partners;
  • Ensure the application and compliance with relevant contractual stipulations in change order management and claims administration;
  • Develop Extension-of-Time strategies in accordance with contractual conditions;
  • Support in settlement of the claims in relation with relevant company departments by proposing strategies and actions;
  • Participate in the commercial / contractual negotiations during entire project life cycle;
  • Ensuring the proper processing and implementation of the commercial contract contents;
  • Maintaining project overview & ensuring commercial project success;
  • Operate and up-date the Project Risk Management System as per applicable project guidelines
  • Consolidate, analysis and prepare monthly reporting of all contracts;
  • Carrying out monthly project reporting to the steering committee and management;
  • Preparation and coordination of consortium contracts and commercial management of consortiums including payment release, change management, claims management.

Your profile

You have completed a degree in economics or a comparable qualification.

What is also important to us is:

  • Several years of professional experience and success with a track record in a comparable work and industry environment, ideally combined with construction site experience;
  • Very good knowledge of commercial project management and international contract law;
  • Interest in commercial/contractual topics and affinity for numbers;
  • High social skills and ability to work in a team / leadership experience in an international commercial team;
  • Negotiation skills;
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills (knowledge of another foreign language is advantageous);
  • Analytical thinking skills as well as a structured and independent way of working;
  • Good knowledge of common MS Office applications, as well as experience in dealing with SAP;
  • Resilience & Flexibility;
  • Willingness to travel worldwide.
