Proposal Manager - Agglomeration and Fluid Bed
Manage and coordinate global proposal preparation activities to deliver high‑quality, competitive technical and commercial proposals in line with customer requirements and internal processes
YOU ACT
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure on‑time and high‑quality preparation of complete technical and commercial proposals in accordance with customer requirements and internal guidelines.
Review Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and define proposal scope, concept, and strategy together with the Project Manager Sales.
Plan, organize, and monitor all proposal activities, including schedules and deliverables. Coordinate the development of:
- Plant concepts with relevant product groups
- Project implementation concepts and schedules with Delivery stakeholders
Responsibilities:
Act as the central coordination interface between all involved disciplines, regions, and stakeholders.
Guide and support the proposal team in preparing technical solutions, cost estimates, and proposal deliverables.
Organize and manage responses to customer or partner clarification requests and participate in clarification meetings as required.
Support risk management activities, including preparation and coordination of internal risk review meetings in line with internal approval processes.
Organize and support the handover to Delivery in case of a successful bid.
YOU KNOW
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy (MBA is an added advantage)
Minimum 8 years of experience in the minerals and metals processing industry
Preferably knowledge of:
- Agglomeration technologies (sinter and pellet plants)
- Fluid bed technologies (e.g. alumina calcination)
Strong coordination and communication skills across functions and regions.
Ability to translate customer requirements into practical technical and commercial solutions.
Sound knowledge of sales processes, cost estimation, and large project environments.
Structured, deadline-driven, and adaptable working style.
