  • Roles & Responsibilities
  • Prepare an Accurate & Comprehensive Costing of the Project based on recent prices, appropriate Risk consideration and Methodology for making a Competitive Price.
  • Coordinate with SMS group entities on joint projects.
  • Understand the internal scope allocation between SMS group entities.
  • To Review & ensure that the Costing for the Project is based on Complexity Level Involved.
  • Prepare/Review the Direct & Indirect cost with respect to Design, Specifications, Construction Methodology & Timelines of Project.
  • Computation of Indirect Taxes and Levies on Project.
  • To ensure floating of Enquiries to Vendors & Specialist Sub-contractors, Follow-up & Receiving Quotes and Comparison Statements, so that most effective quote is accounted for Pricing of Project.
  • Co-ordinate with other Departments to receive inputs on various cost.
  • Attend scope and pricing related Queries from Sales team/CoE at different stages of negotiation with customers.
  • Prepare As Sold Estimates following conclusion of the Contract.
  • Analyze cost overruns and review costing based on assumptions made during estimation.
  • Analyze different parameters and identify opportunities to reduce the budget overruns.
  • Identify critical items that can be manufactured at SMI Workshops within planned budget.
  • Drive alignment of Estimations with changing engineering design practices.
  • Understand execution issues, product portfolio and new developments.
  • Identify areas for improvement & propose alternatives for cost optimization.
